Gooding is a devoted supporter of St. Swithin, a champion of the works of Herschel Ludwig Schmenckens [whose dates were recorded by a numerically challenged municipal clerk as 1647-1853], and the lone fan of the un-noted woman composer, Maude Bailey Burke.
